If you've come directly here, chances are you're looking to find out more about me. Well, if you are, you're in the right place. Firstly, then, some definitions:
  • Emanix

(noun, fem.): 1. One who emanates. An originator and creator of things. 2. Artist and illustrator by trade, a scientist at heart, and an activist by accident. 3. A life based on logic and love. 4. Anagram of Maxine.
  • Polyamorous

(adj.): ...whose life is characterised by a set of complex overlapping calendars and scheduling conflicts and, to a lesser extent, multiple loving relationships.
  • Activist

(adj.): A sufferer from 'Activism'. A socially transmitted inclination (or STI) currently thought to be incurable. Symptoms include sleeplessness, agitation, inability to tolerate the status quo, an increased sensitivity to, and intolerance of bigotry and ignorance, and a tendency to take on responsibility, sometimes to personal detriment. Later stages of terminal Activism include exhaustion, cynicism, and ‘burnout’, as well as increasingly neurotic behaviour and a feeling that ‘everybody is expecting me to fix EVERYTHING!’. This feeling, sadly, is often true. Further details can be found here: Polytical.org

I am here to change the world.

Not just for 'people like me', but for everyone who believes they should be free to choose how they live their own lives without fear of violence or injustice, as long as they are harming no-one else.
I believe that segregating people into groups of 'us' and 'them' is a fundamental cause of most of our problems as a worldwide society. I believe that we are all 'us' and have a level of responsibility to ourselves and each other for as long as we choose to live within that society.
I view myself as a citizen of the world, and intend to act upon it. I look forward to a world where personal freedom is respected. Where prejudice is seen, finally, as nonsense, and where every person is valued, and respected for their unique merits. I look forward to a society where laws are centred around the fundamental principles of personal sovereignty, compassion and positivity, and serve to protect individual freedoms, rather than to constrain. And I'm willing to work towards that goal. Are you?
